PDF documents are not made to be reformatted, but sometimes they are the only choice available. Scientific papers, scanned reports, and other legacy documents are often simply not available in any other format. For that reason, Increader offers support for PDF documents as well, but the experience will often not be quite as good as with websites or ebooks.
Import a PDF
- Open the import flow from the sidebar.
- Choose the file upload option.
- Select the PDF from your device.
- Confirm the title and whether you want to add it to your reading queue.
- Finish the import and wait for processing to complete.
What to expect after upload
Increader does not convert PDFs to make them more readable. Instead, we load up a proper PDF reader inside of the Increader app. We still support highlights and annotations, automatically save your reading position, and insert it into the reading queue.
Note: PDFs are saved into Increader as they are. They do not get split by chapters. If you upload a large PDF, it will have to be downloaded completely every time you open the document in Increader. We are working on ways to improve this experience. For now, Increader works best with smaller PDFs. If you work a lot with large PDFs and have ideas about how to improve the experience, please reach out to us at support@increader.com
